Read moreThis kitchen is the epitome of the modern farmhouse style and incorporates natural wood accents, carriage style lighting and brass hardware. The St. Martin New Orleans wood hood is the centerpiece of the kitchen and the trim was specifically stained to match the darker notes of the oak floors, The interiors of the glass wall cabinets were also stained to match the hood trim and the floors to create a cohesive look throughout. Also unique to this space are the large spindles that flank the ends of the island and cook-top to add drama and scale.

Mullion glass doors match the exterior doors and windows throughout the home and the dark oak floor provides a lovely contrast to the Bright White and Gray Stone cabinetry. Modern flourishes were also included such as the built-in microwave drawer in the island and the stainless hood above the cook-top.

The gorgeous furniture style island centers the room and provides ample room for seating, socializing and food preparation. Extra storage was also a must so the island was made with built-in glass cabinets on each end as opposed to decorative panels. As the piece de resistance, a matching wood hood was incorporated which features a decorative mantel piece that matches the profile of the moldings found throughout the home.
